Hi Soundsphere, I am an author and film-maker based in Darlington (www.damagedgoodsfilm.co.uk and http://www.brokenscarproductions.co.uk) and in a former life a fanzine writer. I would love to get to the Bob Mould gig in Leeds on 14th November with support by the Young Knives- Husker Du Manchester 1987 is still my favourite gig of all time. The gig is sold out but just wondered if you could somehow get me a ticket I would love to review it for you – and if at all possible interview Bob- let me know if you can help- all the best Mike Tweddle (07971168770)
You reviewed our EP ‘Psychedelic Sounds Of’ back in 2011. Thought you might like to check out some new music from our forthcoming album.
We’ve put up an exclusive track to stream for just a week.
Check it out here – https://soundcloud.com/the-slytones/empire
Be great to hear what you think.
Is it possible you could put the above live event on your news or features (gig listings) at all?
We’re looking to get a bit of local coverage on the event and we would greatly appreciate any help you could give.
Hi Soundsphere! Someone from Soundsphere came to visit my college (Access To Music, York) and he and I spoke for a while and I mentioned interest in becoming an intern for the magazine, and he seemed very keen.
If there are any intern positions available in the coming year I’d love to be considered and email you examples of things you might like. Hope you’re all well and happy,
Dear Soundsphere Magazine,
I’d just like to enquire as to where we can send through a digital album; we can send it via Google drive. The album will be officially released on February 24, and on April 25 we’re opening for The Birthday Massacre in London. Is there an email address I can send a press release to?
Thanks for your time,
We are supporting The Phantom Band at the Dutchess on the 5th of February. We would love it if you could come and review our show. Our band is called Grolar Bear we are an Indie Grunge quartet from the heart of the north York moors. We have done a fair few gigs around York recently and we are releasing our first single in February.
Thank you for your time
Hey guys, feel free to drop us an e-mail at the contact address to remind! Cheers!
Greetings from Ukrainian doom metal band Narrow House.
Recently we have released our new music video for one of the tracks from our latest album “Thanathonaut” that was out earlier last year on Bad Mood Man Music (Solitude Productions sublabel):
Thanks for covering Narrow House!
Thanks for the fantastic blog. Always finding cool new music and updates on our favorite artists when we check in with you! Digging the Echosmith “Cool Kids” track/video you posted.
We are Team Venus – the smart sexy music you want to get to know better.
We just released our debut video “My Mister Grey” from the forthcoming EP Love on a Faultline. This song and video give a little nod and wink to the ever-so-timely and hyped-up “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie. It’s cheeky, sexy, gritty and super grindable. Shot and directed by a former BBC and Mythbusters DP, this steamy visual feast is a fun coming-out party for Team Venus. We hope you enjoy!

and our song “One Kiss” on SoundCloud:
In other news, our EP is currently being mixed by 4x-Grammy-award-winning engineer Brian Vibberts and we’re pretty much getting hot to trot into the limelight. We’d love to get your eyes and ears on our stuff in the meantime!
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and listen!

AVIONIC DOUBLE-HEADER RELEASE!
Although things have been quiet on the flight line in the last quarter of 2014 it is only because Avionic have been busy with two tracks. “GHF” was competed over a couple of months and then “Keeps Spinning Around You” came together quickly so Avionic have decided to roll out a double release.
Avionic Media is currently investigating ways of expanding the band’s business reach. This includes getting limited run physical CD’s of the E.P.’s “1” and “2” to select radio stations and industry contacts. A few lucky industry people will be receiving the “Promotional Use Only” six track sampler.
Don’t forget the instrumental freebies that are waiting for you at JJJ Unearthed including “Vertigo”’; the lead track from the E.P. “1”:
Come to the website and have a look around the hangar for all Avionic links.

The next release on Sheffield based label PREMONITION TAPES is the album “Nudeln II” by The Weird & The Wonderful – release date is June 1st 2015.
Formed in 2010 as a side project for Sheffield based musician and film-maker Grok Enrol, The Weird & The Wonderful was created to pay homage to the German electronic music scene of the Seventies, mixed with a love for the post punk electronic sound of Sheffield, along with ambient and film sound tracking influences.
The initial output of The Weird & The Wonderful was two tracks on a compilation album entitled “Now That’s What I Call A Bit Weird Vol.23” which came out in 2011 on Un! Recordings.
2012 saw the debut live performance and release of the “Year of the Android” E.P., along with a sound tracking commission.
2013 saw the release of the debut album “Nudeln”, a collection of ten recordings made between 2010 and 2013 and features special guest Jarrod Gosling (I Monster / Skywatchers / Regal Worm) on Mellotron. One of the tracks from the album, “Adventures in a Sculptural Yorkshire Landscape”, has been donated to Yorkshire Sculpture Park for use in their galleries.
“Nudeln II” is the band’s second album, and contains 8 new recordings, recorded between 2013 and 2015. The first track is the epic “Nudeln Constructs 1-4” which features special guest Graham McElearney (The Third Half) on harp. This collaboration has also spawned a non-album track entitled “Lift Me”, which is to be released as a single on June 8th, and also features Peter Rophone (of The Third Half) on vocals. The single contains a radio mix of the song, an instrumental version and an extended ambient dub version. The single’s catalogue number is PREM104 and will be a download only release.
Live performances will start soon, augmented with a series of films made in and around Sheffield, the films having an ambient / otherworldly quality that augment the music of The Weird & The Wonderful. Dates will be announced shortly.
The album, catalogue number PREM 103, will be available as a download via iTunes and the usual worldwide digital outlets, along with the single.
A limited edition CD of the album will also be available.
The album and single can be heard from any of the links below:

Hi Chloe! We are away. Good luck though! Keep in touch! Dom
I would like to invite you to listen to “Dusklight” a full-length concept album. “Dusklight” is not an ordinary album; featuring a professionally produced narrative it tells the tale of the two main characters Glazer and Connie. It has been developed both as a stand-alone piece and as a companion to an illustrated book, it musically explores both the story and post-apocalyptic world in which it’s set (good quoting material right there) and so encompasses a variety of genre’s, whilst maintaining the values of well-written popular music. The album took eight months of solid work and is something everyone involved is hugely proud of.
Please find a link to the complete album which I hope is of interest to you – https://soundcloud.com/dusklight/sets/dusklight, alternatively you can download the whole album here – https://www.dropbox.com/sh/mqkw3qpedu0fv5u/AAAW9Qy6tI_PztqvDJN1pD4Za?dl=0. I would value very much a review on your site and be most appreciative of your views. If you need any further information or details of my background and upcoming projects please feel free to contact me.
This is an entirely independent release, with physical copies of the album and book being funded by an upcoming Kickstarter, of-course any publicity gathered before the launch would be hugely appreciated. Should you decide to review the album, could you please direct people to our Facebook site, as the sound cloud is currently for reviewers only. If you wish to upload any of the songs ‘Bridges Burning’ would be ideal as it does not contain any major story spoilers.
Thanks for your time, and I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed creating.
I’m Anthony from the band Read the Program. We sent in a song for your contest on ReverbNation, but the only file we were allowed to send had to be less than 8mb, and all of our higher quality music is on our LP The Color in Between, so I just wanted to showcase some of our other music.

Honey Barbara “Wave Grass” Press Release
The album “Wave Grass” finds the band Honey Barbara exploring a mix of pure
instrumentals with a sprinkling of tracks that feature vocals.
The surprisingly close, tactile-and, then again dynamic-nature of the acoustic
and electric instrumentation resonates well with wholesome sounds and deja-vu-like
reverberations that reveal here a country, or there a psychedelic accent all woven
Core members James Sidlo (guitars, etc.), Ross Marlow (vocals, keyboards), and
Terry Orff (bass) are joined by Dan Tellez (formerly of Aqua Pedestrian) on guitar and
Robert Potter (formerly of Pulsating Love Flower) on drums.
Additional musicians, as well, join the band on various tracks to further extend the
Available now in CD, DL and (soon) the LP version in heavy black &white splatter on
