The upcoming Bank Holiday weekend sees a London-based scooter club follow the road travelled in one of Britain’s best-known cult films.

The Bar Italia Scooter club are racing down the A23 from the capital to Brighton to attend a screening of ‘Quadrophenia’ at the coastal resort’s racecourse.

The event coincides with the forthcoming issue of a special box-set with remastered editions of the film and its soundtrack, recorded by The Who.

Tickets for the Scooter Run, available while stocks last, cost £10 at www.whereisthenomad.com. Buyers of the first 500 tickets will receive an exclusive ‘Quadrophenia’ badge.

Nicky Bubbles, organiser of the scooter run, says, “‘Quadrophenia’ is an iconic album that resonates with every mod and scooter owner, it’s a real pleasure to be associated with the reissue.”

A “Quadrophenia – The Director’s Cut” boxset, containing an eight track 5.1 sound DVD, a remastered edition of The Who’s soundtrack, a hard-back companion book and other merchandise goes on sale on November 14. The set can be pre-ordered now on the Universal Music website, priced £79.99.
