Tearing up a 6ft x 18ft ramp at the fest will be the most heavy of metal pro-skaters from the UK and beyond, including the Creature Skateboards and Independent Trucks teams performing high octane, board-breaking displays all weekend.

Riders such as Stu Graham, Carl Wilson, Colin Adam, Trevor Johnson and Lee Blackwell (more to be announced) will be shredding on the ramp to the brutal sounds of some of the greatest metal bands on the planet, all weekend at Bloodstock 2013.

All of the films are set in Preston and Los Angeles. Scenes will be shot in Preston and then, on 9 June the team fly out to finish the films on location in Los Angeles.

Whilst on the visit, apart from the filming the students will be meeting with producers, writers and other media professionals in Los Angeles. Said Screenwriting course Leader Bill McCoid, “The heart of the screenwriting is California and so that is the place we should be taking our students to.”

The party will also be attending the Los Angeles film festival. People will be able to follow the entire trip by going to the team’s Facebook page and web site as well as Twitter. “There will be news reports that we will be posting while we are there,” said Screenwriting lecturer Sarah Evans.

The team is made of students studying Screenwriting, Film Production, Television, Web Design and Journalism.

The Los Angles film, all written, directed and produced by UCLan students, will premiere at a special screening at UCLan in the autumn.

The newly designed version of Scorpion by Jim Lee, Co-Publisher at DC Entertainment, will be on Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 400 MS Microsoft Points and on PlayStation Network at a price of £3.99.

His home studio in East London is set up with four cameras, to follow every detail of the ups, downs, dramas and laughs of recording an album – and as with his renowned live performances, this will truly be a one-man-band, with no producer or engineer, just Newton, a bunch of guitars, plus a few special surprise guests.

Newton said: “I am as excited as I am terrified by the prospect of having a house full of cameras film me while trying to record an album. The entire recording process will be streamed live and nothing has been recorded in advance – apart from some particularly good hand claps recorded in Paris.  The album will be made before your very eyes, no tricks, no producer and no engineer, just me, a guitar and a few surprise guests.”

‘Studio Zoo’ will be released on August 26.

‘The Sacred Mood’ is set for release on Tuesday, June 11 via iTunes & Amazon and the band have recently released a teaser video (also below) which includes a sneak preview of tracks ‘Monolith Of Wrath’, ‘Honey Of The Human Soul’, ‘Moriendo Renascor’, ‘God Is A Girl With A Butcher Knife’ and ‘Insomniac Moon’.

Vocalist Tairrie B says: “The atmosphere of the new album is heavily drenched in the heat of the South where it was recorded and fueled by insomnia filled nights in Los Angeles where it was written. ”The Sacred Mood” is a subtle reinvention for My Ruin. In an industry that is ever changing, we’re not a band who pays attention to the current trends. The collection of old and new tracks come from an intimate live set exclusively performed for the Rdio sessions and which Rdio have now made available for all fans.

The collection includes new song ‘Of Space And Time’ from his forthcoming album ‘The Hurry And The Harm’, which is set to release on June 4.

The film Dr. No was the first Bond film and features the opening scene within a casino. Bond is seated at the table playing chemin-de-fer with the first ever Bond girl. It is here that Bond utters his trademark introduction of “Bond, James Bond.”

Goldeneye, the 1995 James Bond film, also includes a casino scene. The film is set in Monte Carlo so including the casino there was a natural fit. Here, Bond plays baccarat with a beautiful assassin.

Casino Royale features probably the most iconic casino scene. In this movie, Bond is pitted against his rival, Le Chiffre, in a high stakes poker game. Bond ends up winning the game with a hand that was definitely a long shot. He walks away with a million dollars that could have easily fallen in the hands of the evil terrorist.
