Formed in 2006 and now celebrating over ten years together, Gentleman’s Dub Club initially came together as a dub band, having been inspired by the scene in Leeds. Merging together dub, ska, reggae and electronic influences, it didn’t take long for the infectious sounds of GDC to become widespread, with their debut EP ‘Members Only’ taking the number one spot on the iTunes Reggae charts and getting radio love and support from David Rodigan.

This year sees the release of the Gentleman’s next album ‘Dubtopia’. Set apart from prior releases, Dubtopia adds another dimension to their well-established sound, with new creative styles that create an exceptional change of pace. Features include Lady Chann, Taiwan MC, Parly B, and Eva Lazarus.

This is an album with clear intent and laser-focused direction. By sharing a common vision and cultivating a creative environment, the band aspires to provide listeners with a cathartic release from a world shrouded in stress, injustice, and hypocrisy by providing “a musical paradise set apart from everyday life intended for pure celebration.”

Dubtopia will be available everywhere via tastemaker label Easy Star Records on April 7th, 2017.

GDC collaborate with Fiesta Bombarda to bring the Fiesta to Chester taking over The Live Rooms on Friday 10th March 2017 for an evening of raucous rhythms and Bombarda beats. Plus the usual carnival cacophony of special guest DJs, Fiesta face paints, immersive set design and more tropical treats.

Tickets available on Skiddle!
