The event, taking place for the sixth time, features an international menu of performers, including Japanese math-rock outfit Lite and Americans The Icarus Line.

Sets by Dananananaykroyd, Kong, Maybeshewill, Tubelord, Let’s Buy Happiness and Marble Valley are also confirmed. Acts of a local flavour include Castrovala, Blacklisters and Arthur Rigby and the Baskervylles.

The festival will be raising funds for three charities this year; the organisers say those attending over the weekend can choose the organisations who will benefit.

Brainwash Festival VI takes place from October 14 to October 16 at the Brudenell Social Club and Royal Park Cellars in Leeds. Tickets cost £15.00 for the weekend, with day tickets at a rate of £8.50. They can be bought via the WeGotTickets website or from Jumbo Records, St Johns Centre and Crash Records, The Headrow.

A free download of Lite’s track ‘Rabbit’, to coincide with the festival launch, is available here.
