Paul Wolinski has reworked ‘AWaltzOfLight’ from his début solo set under the Polinski name, ‘Labyrinths’.  Its release on January 16 sees all proceeds raised donated to Oxfam

Wolinski explains the impetus behind his decision: “Last year Oxfam used a bit of a 65daysofstatic track for one of their adverts, which was really flattering. It was nice to see our music being used for something so tangibly useful. Releasing this version of AWOL and giving any profits straight to Oxfam seemed to be a logical next step.”

He adds the new take on the track is “a little bit more hopeful”; “The album version was a bit noisier, a bit more end-of-the-world in tone. It just seemed more fitting that way… I wanted to release it somehow, because I like it just as much as the album version, maybe even more so.”

‘AWaltzOfLight (Alternative Version)’ can be pre-ordered now via the Monotreme Records website.
