Korn have always caused a definite split of opinion. To many they are the champions of alternative metal with phat (yeah, with the ph and everything!) slap-bass riffs, hypnotic, twisted vocals and an array of beats, and to a few they are simply nu-metal ponces that won’t go away…

Here, we enjoy Korn and we’re very happy with the lead single from their forthcoming album, ‘Korn III – Remember Who You Are‘ coming out in July via Roadrunner. This tune packs in all the best elements of classic K, and though we miss the electronic sounds the band have been making use of on the most recent material, this is a welcome return to form ala’ ‘Issues‘ and ‘Follow The Leader‘ that will appeal to established fans and a whole new generation of disenchanted youths with the use of trademark pained lyrics at the song’s heart: ‘Why don’t you just leave me alone / my heart’s gonna break from the fall” – it’s furious, desperate and delightfully hard-hitting and no doubt it will divide opinion in a way that only this band can. Welcome back lads.
