‘Upside Down’ has 80s echoes with powerful, lilting vocals and smatterings of synth. It has melodic pop ambition in the chorus, before breaking into a shallow, stripped-back keyboard fizz. It’s light with sun-dappled optimism, whilst also being packed with variance. It’s never boring. DECO have created an infectious hit, inviting you into their varicoloured world.
