Liverpool’s From Inside have released a pretty cool cover of Linkin Park’s latest single ‘Heavy’.
“Linkin Park is without the doubt the band that defines our childhood. When we first heard their new song, “Heavy,” we really wanted to relate to it, but without those killer distorted guitars, Mr. Hahn’s scratching, or Mike Shinoda’s rapping, it just wasn’t the Linkin Park that has inspired us so much in our lives. We felt compelled to write a tribute to the band that has released those lives changing album- Hybrid Theory and Meteora, So we all agrees to take it upon ourselves to head straight into the studio and put our own spin on how we feel “Heavy” could have sounded if they had approached it in the same vein as their earlier album. We simply wanted to put the heavy side back into the Linkin Park Sound.”
Drawing broad comparisons to Bring Me The Horizon and the earlier Linkin Park albums, the From Inside sound is driven by the blend of distorted guitars with emotionally driven orchestral, electronic and atmospheric backings. To create their latest release, The New Era, From Inside teamed up with Drew Lawson at Steel City Studios in England (studio clients include Bring Me The Horizon and While She Sleeps).
