S] Talk to us about how the band came together?

We were all playing in separate bands and gigged together. A couple of drinks later and Lazybones was born. We got into the shed next day and started writing, and that’s it!

S] What would you say your biggest challenges are?

Buying new equipment and it not setting on fire – it’s happened a few times – and our van not falling apart.

S] What motivates the band outside of music – think movies, people and places?

Candi] Harry Potter (all 7), malt loaf and Laura Jane Grace.

Joe] Planet of the Apes, The Simpsons and Haribo.

Sam] Anything with peanut butter in, Alan Partridge, and a ruddy good garden centre.

S] The new video is killer, how important would you say visual impact is to the band?

It’s super important to us. We really enjoy getting creative and think about colours / art direction just as much as the music. It’s fun to try and incorporate things that inspire us, like cartoons.

We also try to use our image to show people they could have a beer with us and it’d be cool. Our Instagram for example is only disposable camera and VHS shots you won’t see on our other profiles…cue awkward angles and unflattering pictures, but that’s who we are!

S] What would you say that your mission statement is as a band?

Denim all the time.
