Corey Taylor Drops ‘Post Traumatic Blues’ And Announces November UK Tour

By Jay Mitchell

The busiest man in metal keeps getting busier as Corey Taylor has released a brand new single and announced a European tour for November. ‘Post Traumatic Blues’ is the second single off CMF2 which releases September 15th.

Considerably heavier than the first single ‘Beyond’, ‘Post Traumatic Blues’ feels not so far off a Slipknot song. Chugging riffs, a Slash-esque solo and Taylor’s signature vocals give the track a real heavy kick.

Speaking on the single Taylor says “‘Post Traumatic Blues’ is my attempt to describe for people what it’s like to deal with PTSD. Sometimes it’s so hard for people to understand the ups and downs, the severity of the cold and numbness, that I wanted to try and build a bridge lyrically between the ones living with the disease and the ones who are trying to help them.”

After just finishing a European tour with Slipknot, Corey Taylor will be returning in November in support of the new album. In addition to the tour, details have been announced for a special ‘An Evening With…’ event taking place on Monday 7th August at Kingstons’s Prizm.

The event will include an interview with Corey Taylor, hosted by Kerrang! Radio’s Sophie K, an audience Q&A and a few more surprises yet to be revealed. Tickets for the event are limited and available from 11am on Tuesday 11th July.
