The collective is made up of Alan Baltic, Rafael Powell, Alex G B and Greg B (a London based rapper from Chicago). The band records inside their bespoke studio with all instruments rigged up to create a sound ready for live stages.
With a bank of influences to choose from – Madlib, Little Dragon, Coldplay, James Blake, Robert Glasper – 2MV makes a concerted effort to extend their practice outside the conventional structure of rap music, but never forgetting why they love hip hop.
