News has broken that one of the two killers responsible for the death of Sophie Lancaster have had their sentence reduced by the Court Of Appeal.
16 year old attacker Ryan Herbert has seen his jail sentence reduced by 9 months, meaning he will serve a sentence of 15 years and 6 months.
All other attackers had their appeals rejected meaning that Brendan Harris (18 years), Danny and Joseph Hulme (a minimum of 5 years and 10 months) and Daniel Malett (4 years and 4 months) will all serve their original jail sentences.
The horrific attack occured in August of last year and involved Sophie Lancaster being beaten to death by five boys aged between 15-17 while her boyfriend Robert Maltby was also put in a coma
