Have casinos ever been so popular? People cannot only enjoy a range of games which include exciting slots and table games, they can also play them in a variety of different ways too. Long gone are the days where land-based casinos were the only place to play casino favourites. Now there are a host of big names such as PartyCasino coming to the fore, offering their members literally hundreds of casino slots and table games, all being delivered in both the online and mobile markets. This, in many ways, has been a godsend for celebrities and hip-hop stars who like to gamble.

Jay Z

Jay Z is arguably the biggest hip-hop artist on the planet and has reportedly sold in excess of 100 million records over the years. Jay Z, however, is much more than a music artist and is recognised as a leading entrepreneur by many. Jay Z (pictured), or Shawn Carter to use his birth name, has always been renowned for living the high life so to speak so it comes as no surprise that he has had a penchant for gambling over the years. Blackjack and poker are said to be Jay Z’s games of choice, with him reportedly a regular at high stakes tables and in high stakes rooms in casinos all around the globe.

Nelly

Nelly like Jay Z is a music artist who seems to have been around for years. He made his debut in the hip-hop mainstream scene back in 2000 when he dropped the album Country Grammar which sported singles such as Ride Wit Me, propelling Nelly to stardom in many countries around the world. Nelly then built on his success with Nellyville which contained mega hits such as Dilemma and Hot in Here. Nelly and hip-hop music go hand in hand, but the rapper is also a huge poker fanatic too. After appearing at the World Series of Poker Main Event in 2007, he has since gone on to play in various tournaments on the circuit such as the PokerStars European Poker Tour.

Ja Rule

At one time you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing a track by Ja Rule or one that featured him on it. He was a mega star who has been responsible for some huge hits over the years and he’s also renowned for his beef with other music artists too such as 50 Cent. As well as the music world, Ja Rule wanted to concur the poker world due to his love for the game. This saw him go as far as getting his own poker site up and running, but unfortunately for Ja Rule it was shut down. He does, however, still regularly host poker parties that he and his friends are said to enjoy.

Soulja Boy

Soulja Boy made a huge name for himself in the hip hop scene with hit Crank That but since then he has become somewhat of an entrepreneur, following in the footsteps of many other artists in the genre. What has been interesting to see is that Soulja Boy has in the past looked to do deals with poker companies such as World Poker Fund Holdings, proving he has a real love for the game. Not only that, Soulja was at one stage believed to be considering setting up a gaming site for celebrities, allowing them to hone their skills whenever they like.
