Asian Dub Foundation are one of the UK’’s best known fusion bands, who effortlessly blend, rapcore, bhangra, dub, dancehall and ragga, rock and punk into their own unique sound. Formed in 1993, their unique sounds and conscious political lyrics have led them to become a mainstay on the UK and global festival scene, as well as being responsible for immersive experiences such as their iconic David Bowie-endorsed re-scoring of La Haine, the George Lucas endorsed live soundtrack to THX-1138, and writing the score to arguably the world’’s first dub/punk opera; Gaddafi: A Living Myth.

Michael Eccleshall, spokesperson for Bearded Theory Festival says, “We are hugely thankful to our friends Asian Dub Foundation for stepping in to headline the festival at such short notice. We cannot wait to welcome them back to the festival after their triumphant performance back in 2013, and to show them around our new home at Catton Hall. We will do everything we can to ensure that the brilliant Arrested Development get to perform at one of our future events.”
