Grunge band Hands Off Gretel is trialling a new social media tool to launch their latest video. The band is using people power to help promote their new video, ‘Bad Egg’ due for release on 18th April, rather than shell out for expensive PR. In the first 24 hours of the launch, their campaign has already exceeded its target, with a possible social media reach of almost 400k people when the video is released and trending as the #1 campaign on the Thunderclap site.
The video is a totally DIY production, something that the band is proud of. Everything they do as a band; videos, photos, artwork and merchandise is all designed and produced by the lead singer Lauren Tate. The video is no exception, with Lauren’s mum doing all the camera work and Lauren editing and producing the final video.
