York’s Glamour of the Kill are organising the first ‘Welcome To The CarnEvil’ in support of Teenage Cancer Trust. It takes places on October 30 at the city’s The Loft.

Details of acts who will appear are yet to be announced, but a line-up of DJs, dancers and other entertainment is promised.

The band’s frontman, Davey Richmond, recently spent time on one of the charity’s wards. He adds, “Teenage Cancer Trust is an amazing charity, as it brings all the people who are suffering together so they can share their experiences with those who understand what they’re going through.”

“The units are more like youth clubs than hospitals; they listen to what the patients want and strive to make it happen,” Richmond continues. “I had an amazing day being part of the trust and spending time on the ward – I would love to go back again to jam with all the inspirational teenagers!”

‘Welcome To The CarnEvil’ kicks off at 9.30pm and runs until 3.30am. Tickets cost £5.00 and are available from SeeTickets. Updates on the event will appear on its Facebook page.
