March 12, 2012 is a date to pencil in your diaries if you’re a Soulfly fan; it’s the expected release date of their eighth album.

Soulfly

Titled ‘Enslaved’, it’s the band’s first LP to feature new bassist Tony Campos, late of Static-X, and new drummer David Kinkade, ex-Borknagar.  Production for the album, recorded in Phoenix, comes from frontman Max Cavalera together with Zeuss.

‘Enslaved’ promises collaborations with Devildriver’s Dez Fafara, Cattle Decaptiation’s Travis Ryan and Cavalera’s three sons.  While the final tracklisting is to be determined, fourteen songs will vie for eleven spaces on the album; the three to miss the cut will appear on a special edition release.

More details on ‘Enslaved’, and Soulfly in general, are available on the band’s website.
