Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam are back with new single ‘E.S.P,’ from their new album Mortuary Pantomime, set for release on 4th August.
Fans have had to wait five years for the announcement of new music, which coincides with a run of UK headline tour dates set for August/September. To celebrate the release of new music, Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam have revealed a new single ‘E.S.P,’ that’s out today!
Packed full of dark humour, this new single is carefully crafted, toying with multiple genres as it fails to commit to just one. The guitar lines swirl in time with the rhyme of the drums – it’s a powerful reminder that wake us up to their return after five years of absence.
Commenting on the new single, lead vocalist Pete Dixon says:
“Everybody that you know knows how it feels when a relationship ends, but when you’re in it, it feels like you’re the only person in the world going through it so deeply. Your friends ask you ‘how you doing mate?’ (Accompanied by a knowing look and soupćon of sympathy) but none of them really want the truth: it’s going awfully, I feel like I’ve lost my mind—if you really want to know, it’s gonna get dark, desperate and petty, there’s lots of details and you’re going to regret asking ‘how you doing mate?’”
To celebrate the release of Mortuary Pantomime, Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam will be holding an album launch party at the Hare & Hounds in Birmingham before heading out on tour.
