A new metal/hardcore festival in the coastal resort town of Morecambe, Lancashire. Chaos On The Coast brings ten bands to one stage for one day, on Sunday, July 31 at The Carleton.

In its first year, Chaos On The Coast welcomes headliners Earthtone9, who made a triumphant return at Sonisphere 2010 after disbanding in 2002. Other acts include Tides Of Virtue and The Elijah, both of whom are tipped to make their mark in 2011.

The festival will also give smaller acts the opportunity to showcase their music to an audience, with local boys Framed At The Crime Scene having been voted to open the day via the ‘Road To The Coast’ competition.

In years to come, the festival will surely grow, with bigger and better bands bringing the noise to Morecambe Bay, adding Chaos On The Coast to the UK festival circuit.

Lineup:

Earthtone9 (headline)

In the wake of the Scuzz TV sponsored Friction Tour, this could be the very last chance to see Earthtone9 in 2011. Their new EP ‘For Cause & Consequence’ is due May 2011. A new promotional video for the single ‘Tide Of Ambition’ is now available online.

With One Last Breath

After two high-profile shows at Ghostfest 2011, and Make A Scene Festival, With One Last Breath will be at Chaos On The Coast as our main support act, completing a run of three large shows for the band.

Tides Of Virtue

Back from hiatus, Tides Of Virtue have returned to the studio to record a follow up to 2010’s ‘Malevolence’, which was well-received.

RSJ

Their new EP ‘Higgs Boson’ is due for release later this year, and will be followed by an extensive UK tour.

The Elijah

Having just been added to Front magazine’s ‘Essentials’ list, The Elijah have an extensive European touring planned throughout this year.

Plagues, Empires Fade, Mitzi’s Revenge, Last Chance To Dance, Framed At The Crime Scene (Winners of Road To The Coast competition).
