Organised by What The Cat Dragged In and billed simply as ‘A Gig In A Church’, the DIY-style performance promises support sets by Tom Morris of Her Name Is Calla and Sombre.

WTCDI guitarist Matt Durrant says of the event: “We want the audience to be able to encounter the music the way we’ve imagined it. A live music experience doesn’t have to be confined to a middle-of-the-road concert venue, and nor does the scope of the music.”

This experience is enhanced by an online fundraising drive, where the band offer unique incentives in return for donations.  In line with the DIY-ethos of the night, all donations go towards staging the show and producing merchandise; nothing will be made in profit.

‘A Gig In A Church’ takes place at St Paul’s on Holgate Road, York on December 20.  Advance tickets can be purchased, and donations made, via the IndieGoGo website.
