S] What inspires your music?

My music is inspired by real events, whether I’ve lived through them myself or vicariously through a friend – the good and the bad! I strive for honestly, authenticity, and straight-up conviction with my music.

S] What motivates you outside of music, think people and places?

I have always had a drive ingrained in my code.  If I have a goal, no matter how big or small, I will achieve it.  Other than that, nature motivates me. Sometimes, all I need is a walk in the woods or a run along the coastline to get my thoughts together and refresh my mind.

S] What has been a defining moment in your career?

Definitely being on national television. It taught me so much – so much that I can’t put down into words in one sitting.  I gained confidence and learned about myself not only as a musician, but as a human being.  I encountered trials I otherwise would have not encountered, and I can safely say that I am proud of the decisions I made and the course I took. Getting denied and being told “NO” have been the most defining “mini-moments” along the way in my career.

S] What message do you have for your fans reading?

Stay strong. Always remember who you are, and remember why you do what you do.  Be the change you want to see in this world.
