Talk us through your inspirations outside of music, think specific people and places?

I drew inspiration from people who are free with their soul, allowing themselves to open up and be the full version of themselves.
I also draw inspiration from people who are having trouble with that. As we might find ourselves in both sides in different times in our lives.

What challenges do you face as an artist?

I find that the most challenging thing as an artist is to musically stay true to the sounds and visions you have in mind.

Sometimes people can be very judgemental about the music you write,
or the process you’re trying to have with your music. On “truth is” and the rest of the upcoming album,

I think I’ve searched a lot for how I can express myself best, and I’m very happy with the results. The sound, lyrics, topics I’ve talked about, and very importantly the musicians that I work with are all things that I’m very happy with.

What direct experiences inspired ‘Truth Is’?

In the past year I’ve been thinking a lot of how I want to live and shape my life. Realising that I’m the only one who’s in charge of that, I decided that i should live by the ideals i have in mind, and pursue the things i want to do, and living by that state of mind sometimes mean that you need to hide certain things that you know may hurt other people’s feelings.

How do you define success as an artist?

I would say that one of my main goals would be just to make people feel something. I feel like these days a lot of people have this kind of block regarding to really interact with themselves.

I feel like people are letting their life pass them by just because this world has turned to be something so misleading. Everything is so reachable and unreachable at the same time, so you can’t really place yourself in a state where you have strong emotions about something, everything moves so quickly and it’s hard to understand what it is that you really experience, or want to experience.

So, you get kind of numb in front of the world. I would be really happy just to evoke some kind of a strong feeling within the people who’d listen to my music, wherever it may take them. And this is my definition for success as an artist.
