Watch: The Soft Moon – ‘It Kills’

After recently announcing his signing to Sacred Bones, the now Berlin-based musician The Soft Moon, aka, Luis Vasquez is sharing new video & single from, ‘It Kills’ from his forthcoming album ‘Criminal’, which is set for release February 2.

This latest single, accompanied by a Kelsey Henderson-directed video, trades some of the industrial menace of previous release “Burn” for the shimmering melodies of post-punk, while retaining the dark edge that permeates all of ‘Criminal‘.

Speaking about the track, Luis said  “”It Kills” represents my constant struggle with making the same mistakes in order to feed my desires. A continual battle with the conscience. Some inspiration comes from a quote by William Blake: “Those who restrain desire do so because theirs is weak enough to be restrained””.
