Music HQ in Hull is organising an Oxjam fundraising gig at the city’s Ringside venue on Sunday October 10, 2010, the event was initially set up by local music fan Emma Bibby and Music HQ have dived in to arrange a venue and contact some of the bands to be involved.
In past years Music HQ have organised acoustic and band-based Oxjam gigs at The Lair and Sharkeys but this year a change of pace, style and venue has led to a rock and metal gig featuring seven local bands covering thrash to metal to blues and stoner rock.
Entrance is just £3 and doors are at 3pm with first band onstage from 3.30pm, as well as the live music there will be a chance to win a new 5.0 mega Pixels / 4x digital zoom camera with built in video plus other prizes to be won in competitions and raffles throughout the gig, more prizes would be gladly received and hopefully many of the bands will be donating CDs, T-shirts and other merchandise.
The provisional running order for the bands is:
3.30pm – CairnGorm
4.30pm – The Godless
5.30pm – Turn To Stone
6.30pm – Mighty Caldera
7.30pm – Incubated
8.30pm – Pastel Jack
9.30pm – XIII
Entry is for 16+-year-olds with a responsible adult.
