Bleeding edge Texas industrialists, Street Sects have completed their long running Gentrification singles project with Gentrification V: Whitewashed.

Gentrification is a five-part serial album that began eight years ago as a series of self-released seven inches.  Mixed and mastered by Seth Manchester (The Body, Lightning Bolt, Marissa Nadler), Street Sects have premiered the EP’s B-side, “History Is Everyone’s F*ck.”  Street Sects comment, “Eight years after the first installment, we are excited to finally bring the ‘Gentrification’ series to its conclusion.”

Gentrification V: Whitewashed will be available on digital and 7inch formats from The Flenser on May 20th.  Following, in August and September, Street Sects will head back out on the road after a brief hiatus to support HEALTH and Pertubator.

Now that your streets have been drained of all color and character, now that the last of the generational holdouts have been forced beneath the wheels, now that history has been torn up, rewritten, injected with fillers, plied with White Claw, passed around and shared by members of the board…are you sleeping more soundly?

Gentrification V: Whitewashed, track list:

1.  Present Tents

2.  History Is Everyone’s F*ck
