Voice Of Baceprot talk about success in music, and challenging perceptions

Stirring hearts and shredding guitars, Indonesia’s Voice of Baceprot (often abbreviated to VoB) are one of the most exciting rock bands on the planet. Jay Mitra spoke with the girls via Zoom about what success means to them, some of the challenges they’ve faced and how their school counsellor introduced them to metal music. Their advice for other Muslim musicians struggling against the stigma of playing rock? “Be brave and be yourself.”
