Proper cool chill with Voodoo Bandits right ‘ere!

S] How are you guys today?

We’re all good, thanks for asking!

S] What would you say that your biggest challenges as artists now, outside of Covid?

Personally, I’d say our biggest challenge as an artist right now post Covid is trying to break onto the UK live scene being a band from the Isle of Man which isn’t directly linked to the UK scene/a particular city. We’re really keen to travel across to the UK so we can play in front fresh crowds and work with fellow artists but we’ve had to work hard to get onto the radar of the right people who can help with that stuff/expose us to the right audiences with us not living on the mainland and being new to live shows overseas. Luckily, we have a nice number of UK shows lined up for the rest of this year and some for next year so we’re looking forward to progressing further on that front and hopefully even branching out further afield in the future.

S] How do you define success?

Success from our perspective is all about growth. Every positive thing that comes our way, no matter how big or small, we value a lot and see that as successful as it’s something we didn’t have the day before and makes us feel a step further towards our goals.

S] What inspires you creatively, outside of music – think people and places for example?

Outside of music, we’re most inspired creatively by a good sunny scene somewhere outdoors. Always helps with writing new music and gives us a boost!
