2000trees Festival 2022 can today announce that their Saturday night, main stage headliner are the incredible IDLES. They are one of THE bands of the moment, a real ‘generational’ act, and this will be their first ever 2000trees headline slot, having played the festival, on their smallest stage, only 6 years ago – an incredible story.
From Mark Bowen of IDLES – “2000trees were one of the first festivals to book us way back in 2015 before we even had an album out, they always support new music and bring something fresh to their audiences, giving opportunities for artists to reach their audience. To give us the opportunity to return as headliners, as a bigger, better and more gnarlier beast is an absolute privilege.”
2000trees festival booker James Scarlett adds a bit more to the IDLES story – “If anyone wanted proof that 2000trees 2022 is going to be the biggest and best yet then look no further than our Saturday headliners Idles. They played on the Neu Stage back in 2016 so it’s pretty mad that a few years later they’ve grown big enough to headline the 2000trees main stage! It makes me very happy to see such a success story from an independent UK band. Also a quick word to the wise… more so than ever before, 2000trees is VERY likely to sell out VERY quickly this year. So if you want to come and party like it’s 2019 I’d suggest getting your ticket ASAP today! See you all in a field soon.”
Along with IDLES, the festival today can also today announce a further 20 bands for the event, including the wonderful Canadian punks PUP, reformed UK rock royalty Young Guns, US shoe gazers Hundreth, UK math hardcore legends Rolo Tomassi (a UK festival exclusive) and fast rising politically minded 2 piece Bob Vylan. The rest of the bands announced today are Crossfaith, Royal Republic, Kneecap, The Wytches, Chubby & The Gang, Haggard Cat, Vukovi, Press to MECO, Baby Dave, Beans on Toast, Will Varley, Lande Hekt, Katie Malco, Lauran Hibberd and Lizzy Farrall.
They will all be joining already announced main stage headliners JIMMY EAT WORLD and THRICE, as well as a host of already announced bands like The Amazons, Dinosaur Pile Up, Knocked Loose, Laura Jane Grace, The Get Up Kids, Anti-Flag, Lonely the Brave, Stick To Your Guns, Deez Nuts and No Devotion.
With over 100+ more bands still to announce, along with all of the Forest Stage,
2000trees Festival 2022 is already shaping up to be the hottest festival ticket of next summer.
