Weymouth punk band Weatherstate have released their first new original music since 2022’s ‘Never Better’ album with a fresh single titled ‘Hellbent.’

Vocalist and guitarist Harry Hoskins says: “Hellbent reflects everything we have been through as a band – feeling jaded from the ups and downs, and dealing with the noise from people that might not have your best interests at heart. As you get older you sometimes question why you are even doing this in the first place, and ultimately realise none of the bullshit matters. So I guess this song is a reminder to only put energy into things that actually add value to your life, and to do things the way you want.”

Hellbent’s release follows the band’s recent cover of Green Day’s Burnout, which served as a celebration of 10 years together as a band.

The song was the band’s first idea after the release of their previous album. They made a concerted effort to go back to traditional Weatherstate roots with an energetic, power chord driven, singalong

In further celebration of their momentous 10-year anniversary, Weatherstate are releasing a limited edition, special triple cassette tape of their first three releases. It is titled ‘All Bangers, No Clangers’.
