A Leeds quartet all sharing the surname ‘Boyfriend’ – what else could they call themselves but This Many Boyfriends?

The indie act, who take their name from a Beat Happening track describe their sound as “funpop” – but be careful not to use certain descriptions for them!  They are issuing their new single as a hand-drawn fanzine.  ‘Starling’, released on February 20, can be heard on the band’s Soundcloud page.

On the wings of ‘Starling’, the band go on a UK tour – three of those dates shared with The Cribs, and most of the others alongside Allo Darlin’:

23 – Manchester, Deaf Institute (with Allo Darlin’)
24 – Sheffield, Queen’s Social Club (with Allo Darlin’)
25 – London, Windmill (Popfest)
26 – Leeds, Brudenell Social Club (with Allo Darlin’)

28 – London, The 100 Club (with The Cribs)

29 – Cardiff, Buffalo Bar (with Allo Darlin’)

1 – Edinburgh, The Liquid Room (with The Cribs)

2 – Brighton, Concorde 2 (with The Cribs)

3 – Leeds, Metropolitan University (with The Cribs)

You can find out more information, including getting tickets for the tour dates above and those forbidden adjectives, on their Facebook band page.
