S] Hi guys, how are you guys today?
Great thanks! The band is in a great place atm and we’ve got exciting things coming up!
S] To what extent does the city of Hull inspire what you do?
Hull’s inspiration lies in its people, our friends, family and supporters of the local art and music scene, encouraging creatives to continue contributing towards the city’s culture.
S] What are the things, musically, artistically, and culturally that you love about the city?
Hull’s music scene is a massive inspiration for our own music. Local legends LIFE especially played a massive part in our early development as a band.
S] How do you define success as artists, and as people?
MONAYYYY (nah jk) honestly… to be successful in any walk of life is to just be happy, healthy and stay safe.
S] You have some pretty cool visuals accompanying this new single, tell me more about the image of the band?
Thank You! The idea was originally our front-woman Liz’s idea, brought to life by our good friend and LIFE drummer Stewart Baxter. Creatively we like being ourselves and having fun, as cliché as it sounds. You can’t take it all too seriously because at the end of the day, we’re the ones screaming our silly little songs into peoples sweaty faces!
S] Talking me through your inspirations on the new single?
We’re all big into our punk/post-punk and new wave music and it’s safe to say it shows in this song. However in a nutshell “Coming Home”s subject matter is based on misogyny, poor parenting, childhood trauma, and.. rugby!
S] Anything else you’d like to plug before we finish?
Come catch us on the BBC Introducing Stage at 4:15pm for Humber Street Sesh on August 12th! And for anyone in other parts of Yorkshire, we’re playing The Washington in Sheffield on 10th August supporting AUTOSUGGESTION! We may also be announcing a super duper secret project soon!?!
