DENZEL CURRY today shared his riotous new single “Bad Luck,” a collaboration with PlayThatBoiZay, off the forthcoming Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack out digitally on June 18th via Loma Vista Recordings (physical LPs out July 16th) and executive produced by Tyler Bates (“Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Watchmen,” “John Wick”).

“I was in the studio one day with Zay (Playthatboizay) and Kwesi (Kwes Darko), and Zay had this idea to do a rock record. At first I wasn’t really with it, my fans been wanting me to try it for a while but I honestly don’t want to be looked at as ‘the rock guy’ or be put in a box for my art, you know?” explains Curry. “I have this motto that I use in the studio, though, of ‘shoot first, ask questions later,’ so after a few convos we called up my homie Spencer from Trash Talk and made it happen. Some of you might love it and some might even hate it. For us, it was an experiment.”

“Bad Luck” follows three previous Dark Nights: Death Metal Soundtrack singles: Chelsea Wolfe’s “Diana,” Maria Brink’s “Meet Me In The Fire (Feat. Andy Biersack),” and Mastodon’s “Forged By Neron.” The soundtrack is available for pre-order on digital download, CD, and 2xLP-with exclusive Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman vinyl variant covers, 11 limited edition character trading cards, and more HERE.
