Post-Punk band Dust have returned with their first single of the year ‘TRUST YOU SEE.’  This is ahead of their tour dates supporting Interpol later this year.

‘TRUST YOU SEE’ has a driving punk atmosphere alongside the unique use of saxophone. The tracks music video, directed by Nicola Jankovic, is out now.

The band discussed the song saying it’s an “alarming and visceral sonic exploration of both literal and underlying feelings. Justin’s literal lyrical recount of searching for pain relief and feeling frustrated is paralleled with metaphorical messages of trust, relationships and frustration. TRUST U SEE became a staple opening song in the live set, forming it organically into the final version of the song before taking it to the studio. We were able to have a new outlook on recording and experimentation. It was our first time recording properly in a studio and we were able to be very hands on and take time in post production to get the song to express what we wanted.”

Dust’s recognition has spiralled following their debut ep ‘et cetera, etc’ with hits like ‘Joy ( Guilt )’ and ‘Ward 52’ which had Anthony Fantano of NME describing the group as “wildly promising.” They’ve gained further publicity at well-known festivals including The Great Escape and BIGSOUND.

This year dust we be busy joining Armlock at their upcoming Naarm and Melbourne appearances in May. After that they will continue tour, joining Interpol on 11 dates across the UK and Europe.
