With over half a billion streams of their critically-acclaimed debut EP ‘Worldwide Torture’, Jazmin Bean is already one of the UK’s worst kept secrets.  Now, the Island Records/Interscope recording artist continues their evolution with the release of new single ‘Piggie’, the new single out today.

‘Piggi’e is an infectious, stadium-sized anthem exploring themes of consent, innocence and age-gap relationships. Produced by John Feldman and Travis Barker, with Barker jumping on drums following a chance meeting, the track’s pent-up lyrical content is supercharged by his furious marching rudiments and rapid-fire accents on the snare drum, transporting the listener to a not-so-forgotten era of 90’s and 00’s mosh pits.

Sneering in its takedown and full of restless energy, Bean says that Piggie’s lyrics were inspired by the predatory and toxic relationships they encountered in their teens: “When I got out of rehab, I looked back at pictures of myself and saw the events that were happening around me at the time. I was three months clean and had lots of realisations about my life. I didn’t want to combat it with a sad song. Instead, I’m poking fun at some of the men I met at the time.”

“Piggie is the closest track to the Worldwide Torture era, so I wanted to bridge the gap between the old and new sound. But honestly, what’s coming next… I’m not even ready for.”

Having previously been tipped by the likes of Vogue and Dazed, Jazmin is one of the UK’s most talked about visual creatives and founder of the vegan and cruelty-free makeup brand Cult Candy Cosmetics. Jazmin has spoken candidly to their followers about a 2022 spell in rehab, and has since been busy writing and recording with multi-platinum selling producers (Jonny Coffer, John Feldmann, Matt Schwartz and Rick Nowels), as well as starring in a campaign for legendary British fashion brand Burberry.  A captivating live performer, they recently performed at The Great Escape and will play their debut Download Festival this weekend.

Having already amassed over 130 million YouTube views, nearly 1 million TikTok followers and well over half a million Instagram followers and Spotify listeners – they are the sound and spirit of Generation Z’s genderless subculture. Unapologetically impossible to define, Jazmin’s otherworldly visuals are a melting-pot of inspiration, inviting listeners into their unparalleled universe of alternative, infectious pop.  With an avalanche of new music on the way, and a legion of loyal fans awaiting their next move – the stage is set for the next chapter in the incredible story of Jazmin Bean.
