Knives have released their latest EP, What We See In Their Eyes, following the success of their new singles, ‘Doppelgänger’ and ‘Headcase’.

Knives comment on their new EP, “The EP as a whole, the title, What We See In Their Eyes, is a reflection of the emotions we’ve felt when looking at or speaking to the people that we’ve written these songs about.. The lyrics are meant to place the listener in these shoes, looking at someone you despise in the face and thinking about what you wish you could say to them.”

What We See In Their Eyes sees Knives showing their frustration through the form of explosive post-punk music. As a slap-in-the-face to everyone and everything wrongful, the band’s new EP confronts some of the biggest societal issues to date.

“‘Happiness’ is about being stuck in a village mindset and not being able to break out of the societal norms that have been set in closed communities. Some of the ideas we see in these places are still stuck in the past and have left a mark on the thinking patterns of the younger generation. It’s a song driven by personal experiences of discrimination that members of our band have faced and how we react to these situations,” Knives share.
