Deathwish Inc.’s Greet Death recently wrapped a U.S. tour and unveiled a standalone single “I Hate Everything.”  Now, to close out the year, Greet Death have released another stunning new song — the earnest and discordant single “Your Love is Alcohol.”  This new track showcases Greet Death’s trademark melancholic sound coupled with a fresh, dark, alt-country flair.  “Your Love is Alcohol” premieres today alongside a curious new video directed by David Beuthin and Logan Gaval.

Greet Death’s multi-instrumentalist Logan Gaval comments, “I wrote ‘Your Love Is Alcohol’ in July of 2020. Around that time, my girlfriend and I would hang out after work at my parents’ house and pass a bottle of Tito’s Vodka back and forth and listen to my parents watching Fox News. Getting drunk with my girlfriend is one of my favorite things to do so I wrote a song about it.”  He continues, “We recorded the song with our friend and new bass player Jackie Kalmink. I’m very excited to see what we can create before the heat death of Earth.”

Hailing from Flint, MI, Greet Death’s catalog is an exercise in refraction and reflection. Within a shoegazey haze, their brutally honest subject matter is cleverly cloaked amid soft vocal deliveries and dreamy guitar work. Their songs are lovingly constructed before buckling beneath their own emotional weight.  Their 2019 full-length and Deathwish debut New Hell is a hook-laden triumph of towering proportions, and their two newest singles “I Hate Everything” and “Your Love is Alcohol” continue that trajectory.
