Known for a wide array of musical film scores, Michael Giacchino took to social media to release an exciting piece of news. Giacchino announced that he had finally finished recording the music for the highly-anticipated film Jurassic World: Dominion.

“Last day of scoring for JurassicWorld Dominion. It’s been an incredible 10 days with the orchestra and crew at Abbey Road Studios. Thanks for making an incredibly difficult process seem effortless! Big kudos to my team and engineers Peter Cobbin and Kirsty Whalley,” Giacchino posted yesterday.”

“Jurassic World Dominion Recording done… now it’s time for the mix. I’ll share something new with you soon,” he added today. You can check out the two posts below. Be sure to turn the sound up for the second one as it features a peek at the music!”

Michael Giacchino is the composer responsible for Pixar’s Up, which awarded him an Oscar in 2010, and Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The new soundtrack of Jurassic World: Dominion sounds closer to a horror film than an action-based film which is leaving the audience guessing and wanting more.

The Jurassic World franchise’s popularity took the world by storm. Last year, a TV animated series Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous was released. In addition, numerous video games are honoring the franchise, such as Jurassic World Evolution. There is even a slot game titled Jurassic World powered by Microgaming, a software provider that is featured by many casinos with no deposit bonus like LeoVegas.

Giacchino’s update followed another recent revelation about Jurassic World: Dominion since director Colin Trevorrow previewed an image from the studio, and it featured a surprising figure: Kermit the Frog! We’re dying to know what the Muppet was doing on set!

Jurassic World: Dominion is expected to have a great cast list, including Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, and Laura Dern. On the original trio’s absence in Jurassic World, Trevorrow claims that they “had to come up with a reason why Ellie, Malcolm, and Grant all went to the theme park on the exact same day it broke down – again. The next film allows the legacy characters to be a part of the story in an organic way. Emily Carmichael and I call it Jurassic Park VI because it is”.

The film also stars other famous actors, including Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing, Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, Jake Johnson as Lowery Cruthers, Omar Sy as Barry Sembène, Daniella Pineda as Zia Rodriguez, Justice Smith as Franklin Webb, Isabella Sermon as Maisie Lockwood, BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, and Campbell Scott as Dr. Lewis Dodgson.

In an ideal world, Jurassic World fans would be heading to the movie theatre as we speak. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the schedule had to be shifted, and the movie will now be in theatres in June 2022.

Although we’re still missing many details from the new plot, the new Jurassic film will deal with the fallout of the events from the end of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Through this score, Trevorrow and Giacchino are hinting that the new movie is going to be bloody, violent, and thrilling. We simply cannot wait!
