Kingston-upon-Hull blues-rockers The Black Delta Movement have been added to the line-up for Soundsphere magazine’s Sunday Galtres Rocks rock and alternative takeover on The Oxman Stage.
Combining garage scuzz with Britpop attitude, The Black Delta Movement are a potent live proposition. With the stars-and-stripes emblazoned across their sound and the North of England ringing out in the vocals, there’s something here to please a range of listeners, from Dandy Warhols devotees to Oasis die-hards.
The Black Delta Movement play The Oxman Stage at 12.45pm on Sunday 24th. They replace alt-rock outfit The Holy Orders, who will now perform as part of #thehullinvasion on the Oxman Stage, at 11.45, Saturday 23rd.
Festival PR Pete Wise comments: “The Soundsphere magazine team have picked an incredibly strong line-up of some of the very best alternative acts on the scene for the Galtres Rocks takeover. A range of sub-genres are represented, from RSJ’s riff-heavy hardcore to Rosie’s electro-pop-rock, and The Black Delta Movement bring yet another style to the table. We’re expecting a rousing early afternoon set!”
