There was some great action on the smaller stages on Friday at the Leeds Festival Lost Girl on the Radio Xtra Stage was ace. So was TWST on the BBC Introducing Stage, she was like a Disney Princess with attitude.

Grandma’s House also played a stonking punky set on the Introducing Stage. The Festival Republic Stage hosted some exciting sets from Dylan John Thomas and the Royston Club to name just a couple.

Main Stage action was great throughout the day kicking off with a strong set from the Amazons. There were classy appearances from Steve Lacy who wowed a relatively small crowd.

Rina Sawayama was stunning including a slight BDSM excursion. One of the joint headliners Imagine Dragons played a captivating set and easily made up for saying hello Reading early on.

Billie Eilish was the star of the day with a magnificent show with her own stage with a huge ramp and she wore probably the most colourful costume of the day.
