Yeah, so…right. We went to see Skindred. They’re 100 per cent the best live band in the UK right now, from classic tracks like ‘Nobody’ through to new bangers like ‘Volume’ (from the new album of t’ same name, we’ve never seen Skindred (in all the years we’ve been watchin’ ’em look hungrier, or happier. As 2016 approaches, we are sure that a future Download Festival headlining spot will beckon.

The crowd laps everything up tonight, and it’s an honour to see so many dedicated fans packed into one room, not to mention to be stood in front of members of supporting acts Crossfaith and Hed Planet Earth as they stand with everyone else and worship at the alter of Dred.

The bottom line is that these Welsh lads are making great music, they’re good people and they actually give a fuck about their fans, and it really shows every time that they step out on to a stage. These days, that’s a rare and wonderful thing.

All hail, Skindred.
