The Futureheads co-launch new Northern music festival

Sunderland-based rockers The Futurheads have co-launched a new Northern music festival in their home town. It’s scheduled to take place for the day on Sunday, October 4 at the Ashbrooke Sports Centre.

Split Festival is going to feature music from organisers The Futureheads, Beak and Field Music alongside Frankie And The Heartstrings and Sea Of Glass. There’s also going to be a variety of other stuff there to entertain including magicians, fire-eaters, face-painters and fireworks. More bands and acts from around the North East will be announced soon.


Tickets will cost around £19.50 (under 8s go for free) and they will be available from Ashbrooke Sports Club, Hot Rats Records, SUN FM, Sunderland Echo, RPM Newcastle. You can also go here.
