YOSHIKI has donated 10 million yen to the Red Cross in order to support the victims of the Taiwan earthquake through his non-profit organisation – Yoshiki Foundation America.

Yoshiki comments, “I have performed many concerts in Taiwan. My heart hurts when I think about the feelings of all the fans and the victims of the disaster. I would like to express my deepest sympathies to everyone affected by this disaster. I pray that peaceful days will return as soon as possible”

Humanitarian work is something that is close to the musician’s heart, and this is only one of the many acts of kindness that Yoshiki has committed. Previously, Yoshiki has donated in aid for disaster relief for Hurricane Harvey victims (2017), to combat wildfires in the Amazon rainforest (2019), to help the bushfire victims in Australia (2020), and has accomplished so many more virtuous deeds.

After the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake hit Japan, Yoshiki donated pianos to elementary and junior high schools in the affected areas, and donated musical instruments and a music room to areas that were affected by the Sichuan earthquake in China.

Yoshiki should truly be celebrated, not only for his music, but for his wonderful and selfless acts to help others.
